How much is that doggy in the window

Saw this little puppy while walking during my lunch break around Snider Plaza. Apparently there's a pet boutique that opened up which specializes in teacup and toy breeds. A friend and I stopped in out of curiosity. She asked if the dog was full-grown. It's still a puppy but won't get much bigger than it is now.

My friend asked if she could hold it. The sales girl said that she'd have to sign a release which I'm sure says one has to pay for the dog or damages to the dog if it's dropped or whatever. Weird but understandable, I guess.

My friend then asked how much the dog was. The sales girl said that she'd have to make an appointment to know the actual costs but it was a few thousand. So in my mathematical mind, a few is more than two but less than infinity. Right? Ha, ha!

Anyway, if you want teeny tiny dogs, you might check it out. I would not like to spend that kind of money...a few thousand...on a pet, especially a dainty one.

The dog was a cutie though!

Lost cat

I think we'll be able to find this feline pretty quickly with such a detailed description.

Death by paintball

Okay, it didn't quite die from the paintball hit but it did lose an eye.

Tagged this freaking nuisance about 30 feet away running down the trunk of a pecan tree. Shot it in the head (eye).

It kind of staggered on the tree and then leaped off the trunk. It plummeted about 20 feet to my driveway.

I went to take a look and it was breathing/panting heavily with the damage eye towards me.

I hit it a few more times with paintballs just to add to its pain and misery.

I then took this photo.

I went back outside about an hour later and the thing was gone. Either it recovered enough to go to the squirrel shaman for an eye patch or a neighborhood cat had lunch!

Goodbye and good riddance!

How many times can I say that people are stupid?

This morning the wife and I were taking the kids to school and these pigeons were in the middle of the road. I didn't see anything but maybe there was something they were all pecking at for feeding on or whatever. There were probably about 15-20 of them.

Anyway, we're driving along and the car in front of us a mini-SUV type vehicle slams on its brakes. I was like WTF!? I then see all these pigeons slowly make their way airborne. The moment that vehicle passes they land in back of it and in front of us. My wife started to brake and I almost let a remark out but I didn't. It was just kind of a soft grunt. I think she got the picture and kept driving.

I just don't know why the hell ANYONE would brake for pigeons (squirrels or any small rodent-type animal) in the road. Let's see: 15 pigeons = approx 10 lbs versus SUV = 4,000 lbs+. Who the fuck is going to win that battle!?

Okay, so maybe some people want to preserve the life of the parasites of the world. I get it but if they are going to risk getting hit from behind to keep from killing an ignorant fucking animal that stays in the middle of the road until the last possible moment because it doesn't want to give up the road kill but will probably become road kill itself is just plain stupid!

Mauled squirrel

So, I wake this morning around 7:15 a.m. and hear this "chirping" sound downstairs in the backyard. I figured it was a bird freaking out at seeing our dog out back.

I came downstairs and was getting my shoes and socks on in the sun room when I see my dog out back by the tree. I look to see what she's doing and it turns out that the chirping was not a bird but instead a squirrel wailing for survival.

My dog is picking up the squirrel, shaking it back and forth a few times and then letting it go. It's quite an amusing sight but nonetheless, I had to get her to drop it and leave it alone so I could get her in the house and do something with this ailing squirrel.

She wasn't trying to eat it. She was purely playing with it. Now, how she got it in the first place is unknown but I patted her head for her first varmint "kill."

Of course, what kind of proud owner would I be if I didn't take pictures of her accomplishment.

A new edition to the family

We welcomed a new daughter to the family. My two children are ecstatic.

She's a miniature schnauzer with a silvery white coat. She's only six weeks old and cute as a button.

The squirrel is in Hell!

This is the squirrel that has been in my attic. We think it is a she because it looks pregnant.

We had the hole it used to enter the attic patched with thin metal coverings to prevent it from getting back into the attic.  For about two weeks now, it's been trying to claw and chew its way back into the attic. Everyday I'd come out the door in the morning and it'd take off scurrying up the roof. I'd come home for lunch and it is there again. Day after day, I'd see this damn squirrel.

Now that it's cold and rainy, this squirrel sits on the window sill off the front porch. It'll run if someone comes out the front door but it'll come back. I think it's trying to stay warm. Better out there than in my attic!

The picture is a little blurry because I had to take it through the little glass window in my door and the screen door to keep this little bugger from running off before I got a snapshot.

What's for dinner

I am so appalled that these dead rodents are popping up all over the "richy" area. Just appalled!!
