DCU Son of Batman DVD scan
This is similar to a previous post here.
How many languages does the DVD Son of Batman need to be translated/subtitled in?
Apparently many.

Yeah, random. I know.

Firefox has a new update. Looks more like Chrome.
I overlapped Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox in the screen capture after the recent Firefox update. Can you tell the difference between the two browsers?
I actually liked easily knowing the difference between the two visually. Why do companies end up losing their individuality? You see it in computers, cars, cameras and now browsers. Why not just join forces and make one browser under one name like Chrozilla or Chrofox?

LogMeIn is no longer free
I've enjoyed the freedom of using LogMeIn Free. I understand that as a business there is a need to make money. I get it.But, I don't use LogMeIn anywhere enough to get charged for it. Any amount charged is too much for my use of it. I'm sure 90% of the LogMeIn Free users are in the same boat. $40 for a year is fairly generous if you use LogMeIn for something more than logging in to a remote computer that you need to email/upload/whatever a file or something to access/view at the current location you are at. Now, I've used the trial of LogMeIn Pro where you can drag and drop files from one computer to the other like it was one drive to another on the same computer. Make sense? Again, it's just not worth my money for how I use it.
There are many other ways to remotely log in to a computer...and they are free. I will look into these other ways.
I do thank LogMeIn for the free use I did get out of their software. I don't fault them for their business necessities. It's probably a pretty good call to charge for their software. They weren't making money on LogMeIn Free so even if those "Free" users no longer use LogMeIn, the company is not losing any more money. It seems to be a good business decision for the business but not for the "free" customer.
So, I guess my point is I've read a lot of comments by bitter people about LogMeIn charging for what so many have been getting for free. Not me. The services I've used (Free and Pro—albeit limited) were good and I had no real complaints. I haven't used other similar software except the built-in Windows Remote Desktop but the LogMeIn service was very useful to me when I needed it and how I used it. Is there something better? I don't know but I wouldn't complain about being charged if I extensively and constantly needed/used the LogMeIn service to its fullest potential.

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
My youngest kid changed the password to the only login for their computer and forgot it. It's a Sony Vaio notebook with Windows 7. Funny thing is, my kid saved the password so it wouldn't be forgotten...in a Word document on the computer. The good intentions were there, just not the good smarts.
Luckily, I was able to Google "how to recover Windows 7 password" and a lot of different information was found. I tried a couple of different steps and software but then I found Offline NT Password & Registry Editor. If you Google it, you'll find it just like I did. You'll find a link to download the software. You'll find the instructions on how to burn it to a CD. You'll find out how to use it. I'm not here to explain what is already explained.
What I will tell you is two things:
So, if you forgot your Windows 7 password, you need to get Offline NT Password & Registry Editor. It says it works for XP and Vista but I have not used it for those operating systems. It did work on Windows 7.

Apparently Santana was the bomb in the 60s and 70s
Just a quick rant...
I was in the mood to listen to some 50s/60s rock and roll through Winamp. I "searched" through their web browser in SHOUTcast's server. I put in 50s and I got some songs I wanted to hear but a lot I didn't.
I then saw some other channels listed for 50s, 50s-60s, 60s, 60s-70s, 60s-70s-80s...you get the picture. I tried a few and they sucked. Then I found one that was named "181.FM - Classic Hits --- Home of The 60's and 70's" and thought it could be a good one.
It was...at first. The moment I got connected it had a couple of decent songs. Then a Santana song came on...completely instrumental and too damn long! I was like, "Did my channel change?" It did not change.
Finally, the song was over after like six minutes and another decent song played. About three songs later, another Santana song played. It wasn't as long or as boring. A few more songs by the likes of Rod Stewart, Beatles, Elton John and others. Then another Santana song. Five songs later, another Santana song. I'm so done with Santana unless it's "Santana feat. Michelle Branch" or "Santana feat. Rob Thomas." You get where I'm coming from.
I think you have to be in the right mood for continuous Santana, somewhat high, or maybe Mexican/Puerto Rican.
So, I know that this is just someone's stream of music so it's not like a huge radio station or something but there has got to be a better way to randomize your Santana collection into your broadcast.
I'm still listening to it to give it a fighting chance. We'll see how it goes.

Testing blogging from Performancing in Firefox 2.0
I just downloaded and begin playing around with FireFox 2.0 for the first time. I am a creature of habit and I hate to learn new things that is why I have always used IE but I read that this is a really cool browser. Of course, I heard that IE7 is a very cool browser as well. I will download later once my work lets me know that they will/can support it in case I need assistance with anything.
So far, the FF2 seems pretty interesting. I have to get used to the tab browsing but I think I actually like it versus having multiple browser windows open separately. I've downloaded some interesting add-ons/plug-ins like the AccuWeather, Performancing, FoxyTunes and a couple of others. There are more I'd like to check out but it seems they haven't been updated to work with the new 2.0 version.
Right now I am testing posting a blog entry from the Performancing add-on. It's got some built-in metrics for blogs so that will be cool to see how it works. I already use a free stats place but if I can get it all in one place, that would be very beneficial like less usernames and passwords to remember.
So, I'll finish this test entry and will continue later if all works well.
Update: Well, I ran into my first problem. I hit the "publish" button and it got some error stating it couldn't connect to the AtomServer. I clicked to view blog and it got a bad request error page. After that, the browser locked up. I guess that's one problem with tabbed browsing and this seems like it will affect IE7 as well. I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del and cancel the unresponsive program which in turn closes all tabbed sessions. Sometimes in IE6, if I have more than one browser window open and one locks, I can Ctrl-Alt-Del and it will only close that particular browser window, not all of them. Oh well, back to seeing if I can get it to work after restarting FF2.
Update 2: Well, hot damn! It worked.
