Illegal Immigrant Rental Ban Gets Second Hearing

I don't understand why this is an issue. We do not allow businesses (mostly anyway) to do business with illegal businesses or conduct illegal business. Correct? So, why would we allow apartments to rent to illegal immigrants? Is this not doing illegal business? It's kind of like not checking the background of a job applicant and then allowing a child molester to work at a daycare. I guess the employer can always say, "Well, I didn't know." Right?

Just my thoughts on this continued dumbass debate about renting to illegals after reading an article here (while it lasts).

I would not want to live in an apartment complex that knowingly (or didn't care to know) if my neighbors were illegal immigrants. Sure, some of the illegals are just looking for a piece of the "American Dream" but they've already committed one crime (illegal entry into the U.S.), who's to say they aren't willing to do more to not to have to go back to their country?

This is a no-brainer. They have no rights as citizens because they are ILLEGAL. We aren't beating or killing them so there are no human rights violations. Also, I thought most apartments (maybe not motels/hotels) do background checks on their potential tenants anyway based off of the leasing agreement.

I don't know. I just can't get over how fucking stupid this is! I'm done!

Could the immigration problems be solved?

I was thinking today. I know. I know. The tides were high and the earth was quaking. Anyway, I've come up with yet another way to handle - or monitor - the illegal and legal immigrants within this country we call the great old U.S. of A. I think President Bush should take some notes.

First, we take the money we are wasting on this "war on terrorism" in Iraq and put it towards protecting our OWN land first! These people in Iraq don't really give a shit about democracy. They are happy that they aren't being suppressed by Saddam anymore. That's pretty much where their support and appreciation for the US ends. They live by a completely different religion and code of ethics than Americans. Let them figure this shit out from this point forward. That's what the found forefathers did.

Second, anyone that wants to enter the United States must pay an immigrant/immigration fee - whether it be weekly or monthly, yearly is too long - and have to check in with the local immigration office. This fee will help cover the costs that the governmental people say keeps the US from being more stringent and proactive to combat illegal immigration. These immigrants can't move without letting the local immigration office know. If they have a job, they have to fill out proof of residency forms before being able to work and this new immigration fee is automatically deducted from their paycheck. This will help keep track of them and allow the government to collect fees that will in turn help pay our immigration officers/workers. If these people refuse to pay these fees, then they are refused legal entry into our country or deported out of it.

Third, we need to do a recollection of those immigrants, legal or illegal, that are already in the country and have them sign up in this program.

Fourth, if a legal immigrant is caught doing something illegal like drug dealing, breaking in and entering or something similar - not speeding or running a stop sign, for the first few times anyway - they should have their visa revoked and shipped back to wherever they came from. These people have been given the opportunity to live the "American dream" and they have disrespected the very citizens that have basically accepted them into this country. If an illegal immigrant is busted for anything, they should be immediately deported because they weren't in this country legally to begin with. And I don't think that they should be flying out of this country first class. More like cargo!

Monitoring is the key, like it or not. I'm not saying that it's going to be the end all be all. I'm just saying let's step back and take a look at what we are doing now and see how it isn't working efficiently. The government can spend the money to monitor or kill people in other countries so why can't we spend the funds to monitor or protect those in our own country? I'll have to come up with some more steps but I think these would be a good start.

Did you get all that Mr. President? I could fax or email you a copy. Let me know!

In the news 07/28/2010

Saw in the news today (article here while it lasts) about the decisions the judge made on Arizona's illegal immigration law.

A quick thought for me is, SOMETHING needs to be done and until the federal government gets off their kickbacks in the back pockets, why not let the states drum up some enforcement laws?

A second thought comes from reading the article and seeing the following quote:
Critics said it would lead to racial profiling.
If you still believe there ISN'T racial profiling in America, then you should be kicked out of the country along with the illegals. Look, I have brown skin (sometimes dark sometimes light depending on my sun exposure), black hair and non-slanted eyes. That means I'm profiled as Mexican. I've said it before and I'll probably say it a million times more, "Americans only see so many ethnicity categories [especially in Southern states]: White, Black, Asian, and Mexican/Hispanic." If you are German, Jewish, Irish you'd fall under White; Nigerian, African, Ethiopian you'd fall under Black. China, Korea, Japan you'd fall under Asian. Spanish, Columbian, Argentinian you'd fall under Mexican (or "politically correct" Hispanic).

If you doubt me, ride around with me for a day (or less). You can see first-hand how many times I'm "profiled" whether it be driving, walking into a department store, or going to a restaurant. The funny thing is I'm profiled by all other races. I can't tell you how many times I'm spoken Spanish to. Should I feel pissed off that I'm profiled...not by just Whites but also Blacks, Asians and Hispanics.

Hell yeah, I'm pissed off. Everyday! But because of my upbringing in the South by a White dad, I'm just as racial profiling as anyone else...maybe worse! The difference with me is that I make fun of ALL races. I've lived with and am relatives with all backgrounds so I believe I've earned a bit of a right to poke fun or slur the races I'm extremely familiar with because it comes from fact not assumption or fiction! LOL!

Since the federal government doesn't want the states to overstep their "authority," then they should stop worrying about what's going on in other countries and start paying attention to the homeland. It too take time but making the world a better place starts at home. If the U.S. can't solve its own problems, why the hell would we think we could fix the world's.

Ah well, the quick post turned into more of a rant. I just can't stand to read people having sympathies for illegal immigrants. "They just want a better way of life" you say but I say, "Go about it the legal way. If it happens, then good. If not, then it just wasn't meant to be! Things worth having are not easy to come by. If they were, I would have illegally purchased my college degree a long time ago!"

Oh well, it's almost 5 o'clock so it's quitting time! At least there's something to "Woohoo" about.

Alice Eve

Alice Eve is hot!

I first saw her in She's Out of My League a few weeks ago. She looked familiar in the sense that I'd seen her in another movie before but I couldn't remember which one or if I had even seen it. Maybe it was just a preview or something. After a quick Google, I found that she was in Crossing Over which starred actors like Harrison Ford, Cliff Curtis, Ashley Judd, and Ray Liotta (I'd hyperlink all of them but I think all but Cliff are recognizable names in the movie business although Ford is way old looking and could pass for playing a grandfather these days, Judd still looks pretty damn good, Liotta I did not need to see partially nude and I wish I was forewarned beforehand because he's a nasty looking chubby bastard but he did get to "play" with a NSFW-naked Alice). It's a pity there's not more of this voluptuous beauty...and by that I mean more boob-flashing roles. LOL! In all honesty, I've not been blown away by her acting in the roles she's portrayed so far but throwing in a little boob shot now and then doesn't hurt. Trust me. There are tons of guys that would drop $10 at the theaters just to see boobs. Hell, they drop more than that "at the nudie bar" -- you have to say that in the Al Bundy voice.

So, in honor of Al, his poem..."At the Nudie Bar"

Where the music stinks, and they water the drinks, the nudie bar.
Where the girlies dance in their underpants, the nudie bar.
Where you see their butt, and their trap stays shut, at the nudie bar.

Where you can't touch a breast, but you can cave in a chest, at the nudie bar.
Where you look at a thigh, and blacken an eye, at the nudie bar.
Where the beer gives you gas, but the Bundys kick ass, at the nudie bar.

Where a buck's enough to see their stuff, at the nudie bar.
Where the breasts may be fake but man do they shake, at the nudie bar.
Where you swear like a sailor, and wish you could nail her, at the nudie bar.
Where the cops are at the door, and there's a Kennedy on the floor, at the nudie bar.

Where Christmas is nice, and lap dances are half price, at the nudie bar.
Where you drink down the shooters, and unwrap the hooters, at the nudie bar.
Where eggnogs are plenty, and the girls all twenty, at the nudie bar.

In the news 06/09/2010

I found something funny in a Dallas Observer article I was reading today. It was actually pressed on June 3rd. The story was about a serious topic but in my infinite wisdom, I found some humor in it.

On page 7 of the artcile, in the middle of the 9th or 10th paragraph depending on how you count them, there is a line that says the following:
"...a government yard protected by barbed wife."
Now, it may not be funny to all, but it's just something that changed the tone of the article for me up until that point.

Oh well...back to reading the last page or two.

WORD BUFF

Most people know I'm a bit of a word buff, but I just found this too interesting...

Did you know:

* That the words "race car" spelled backward still spells "race car".

* That "eat" is the only word that if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, it spells its past tense "ate".

* And Have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants", and add just a few more letters, it spells out: "Go home you fucking, free-loading, benefit grabbing, kid-producing, violent, non-English speaking assholes and take those other hairy-faced, sandal wearing, bomb making, goat loving, raggedy ass Muslim camel jockey bastards with you."

How weird is that????

Why Condoms Come In Boxes of 3, 6, and 12

A man walks into a drug store with his 8-year old son. They happen to walk by the condom display, and the boy asks, "What are these, Dad?" To which the man matter-of-factly replies, "Those are called condoms, son. Men use them to have safe sex."

"Oh I see," replied the boy pensively. Yes, I've heard of that in health Class at school." He looks over the display and picks up a package of 3 and Asks, "Why are there 3 in this package?"

The dad replies, "Those are for school boys, ONE for Friday, ONE for Saturday, and ONE for Sunday."

"Cool" says the boy. He notices a 6 pack and asks, "Then who are these for?" Those are for college men," the dad answers, TWO for Friday, TWO for Saturday, and TWO for Sunday."

"WOW!" exclaimed the boy, "then who uses THESE?" he asks, picking up a 12 Pack! With a sigh, the dad replied, "Those are for the married men. ONE for January, ONE for February, ONE for March..."

In the news 05/18/2010

From the Dallas News, headline reads:
Plano-based Frito-Lay urged to drop sponsorship of Arizona sporting events

Click here for story while it lasts
Boycott Frito-Lay? Are you effing serious? Give me a break. That's like when people thought about doing the same thing to Wal-Mart. The problem is that there is no "real" substitution to Frito-Lay (or Wal-mart).

As the article quoted the Accion America president, the Latino community spends "billions and billions" on Frito-Lay products. So, where are they going to spend that "billions" instead? NO WHERE! They may try but they will always return until there is a comparable replacement. Until that time, good luck with calling a boycott! The LULAC executive director has got it right by saying, "Let me be clear: There is no LULAC boycott of Frito-Lay or any other company."

How many little Mexican kids are going to be pleading, "Mama, quiero mi Cool Ranch Doritos!"

The problem with these "immigration groups" is that they only offer reaction to the cities or government ideas/plans to "fix" illegal immigration. They don't offer suitable replacement ideas. Hell, they don't even offer the first idea. I think these little fuckers WANT the illegals to enter and stay in America. Why wouldn't they? It gives them more of a showing at these protests to have legals and illegals!

What these groups and even people that complain about the efforts of cities or states to enforce the federal law is that they aren't doing it to be mean, necessarily. You are always going to have a few bad apples enforcing stupidly but the greater overall good is to be a legal immigrant. What are illegals teaching their legal (by birth in the States) children by not admitting that they are breaking a very serious law? Do these children even care about the illegality of their parents' or grandparents' crimes? Is being illegal really not as bad as being a murderer or rapists? There is no levels of breaking the law. You either break it or you don't. It's the punishment that has levels dependent on the severity of your crime. But breaking the law is still breaking the law. It's pretty cut and dry!

I'm all for people having to carry identification to prove their legal immigration status. I don't think we should limit it to just Mexicans. We should check ALL people who could be questionable. Is my Russian neighbor here legally? How about the German, the British, the Somalian, the Nigerian, the Polish, or the Canadian? Just because there are more browns here illegally doesn't mean they should be the only ones checked! Granted, they are more so we have to start somewhere but let's start and get on with it.

And just so you know, this comes from someone who has been profiled since I was a kid although I look more Asian as a child than a teenager and older. I'm half Hawaiian and half White. The White gene gives me less Asian features and American people only see certain races: White, Black, Mexican and Asian. I don't have a fair complexion. I have black hair and tan skin. I don't have very slanted eyes or a flat nose. What do you think people automatically assume what I am? Mexican. Although 90% of the people who assume I'm Mexican are White, about 8% are Mexican and 2% are Asian.

How many Asians can say they've gone into a Chinese buffet restaurant and been asked what you would like to drink in Spanish by the Chinese waiter? I'm slammed and disrespected by my own peeps! :-)

How many people can say that they've been pulled over by the police with their girlfriend in the passenger seat and the cop asks her if she is alright and with me on her own accord? My girlfriend at the time, who is also now my wife, is White.

How many people have gone to a job fair when a recruiter (this one was a UPS and is why I don't endorse them or will ever work for them) automatically marks on a card that I'm Hispanic without asking. I asked him why he assumed I was Hispanic. I told him he was a racist honky mother fucker and told him to give me the card. I ripped it in half and threw it in his face. (Beeyawtch!)

How many people can say that they've been called spic or wetback while walking down the street by (mostly white) kids as well as adults? How many of those kids will think twice about name calling after I gave them the Nacho Libre beating they deserved? Ha!

All I'm saying is that profiling sucks balls. But if the paperwork is in order and you are legal, wouldn't you much rather know they are trying to "clean up" your country than try to deter them from doing so? Until a "better" solution is brought to the table, I think some things need to be tried. Again, I don't expect things to go smoothly. That's human nature more than it is White nature, Black nature or whatever-race nature.

It's called trial-and-error. It's got to be done! Somethings got to be done! About everything that's wrong in this country! I could go on and on but my soap box is done for now!

Some people JUST don't get it

I read another story about illegal immigrants. Here's a quick excerpt from the article. Click the quote to view the entire article.
Mr. Lopez crossed the Mexican border illegally to work in a foundry in Tyler in 1969. Later, he brought his wife and four children (all are now citizens or permanent residents) and enrolled the oldest ones in school.

But in July 1977, district trustees voted to charge $1,000 tuition to illegal immigrant children. The Lopez family could not afford it.

"I am illiterate – I am a person that doesn't know anything," Mr. Lopez said in Spanish in an interview this month. But he believed what the district did was wrong.

"School is very important for all children, and they should not be discriminated against because they are Mexican or white or black," he said. "They should be equal."
Okay, let's look at some points:
  1. Mr. Lopez entered the country illegally and later brought his family over.

I'm sure his family entered the country illegally as well and for this crime (petty as it may be) they expect to get a free "American" education at the cost of those of us that are LEGAL immigrants or US Citizens who have no choice but to pay for these ILLEGALS because our income is automatically taxed and somehow ends up unfairly benefiting these illegals since they aren't taxed.

  2. The district didn't turn them away but instead offered a compromise of $1,000 tuition to educate his ILLEGAL immigrant children.

Um...you ungrateful little illegal shitsicks! Refer to gripe #1! The legal workers' tax dollars goes towards benefiting the school districts. Are you contributing to this fund with your under the table cash jobs? I don't think so. At least the district didn't just kick your asses out of Tyler and be done with it. I WOULD HAVE!!

  3. Mr. Lopez is self-admittedly ILLITERATE.

WTF! Mister Ignorant Illegal has been here since 1969 and he conducted his interview in Spanish. Almost forty years in the good old U.S. of A. and can't speak English or feels more fluent with his native language? What the hell? Can he not at least pretend to learn the English language to show thanks for the country that gave his children a literate education? It's kind of like when the Mexicans did the march and they ran around like stupid shits waving the Mexican flag. Um, shitsticks, you are supposed to be supporting the country you want to be a part of not the one that you left because it ROYALLY sucked there!
I hope this shit passes in Farmers Branch for the fines of renting and employing illegal immigrants. Fucking MALDEF doesn't even know what they are doing. MALDEF stands for Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund. These dumb asses don't get that ILLEGAL immigrants are not Mexican Americans. They are just fucking Mexicans in the US illegally.

So what rights do they have? None, maybe human rights but let the fucking Red Cross or some human rights groups fund their education and medical costs. See how they like funding that shit and maybe they'll come around and see the point!

Shit, I'm done. Makes me want to slap people around to knock some sense into them! Getting pissed just thinking about this crap!

Yippee! Farmers Branch sends a message to illegal immigrants

Again, I could give a shit about politics but I just can't stand stupid as mother truckers.

Check the whole story here
Farmers Branch on Monday adopted strict measures against illegal immigrants, requiring apartment renters to provide proof of citizenship or residency and making English the city's official language.

The City Council also unanimously agreed to let police apply to participate in a federal program that would enable them to check the residency status of suspects in custody and initiate deportation proceedings in certain cases.

The measures, believed to be the first of their kind in Texas, brought cheers from supporters but sparked anger among some Hispanics and other opponents that the action will cause further racial tension in the city.

Protesters gathered at Farmers Branch City Hall hours before Monday night's City Council meeting. Shouting matches periodically erupted outside the council chambers between supporters and opponents of the ordinances.

Some Hispanic activists said they will sue the city over the decisions.
First of all, for what are they going to sue? There have been no civil rights violations, no amendment violations...no violations whatsoever.

This isn't against LEGAL immigrants or Mexican naturalized citizens.

If these stupid "activists" would get the fuck off their high horses and realize that ILLEGAL immigration is a problem, maybe they'd realize that the city (hopefully the US government will follow) is trying to protect it's legalized citizens.

If it was up to me I'd refuse these illegal mothers everything. Would these activists willingly help a proven murderer, rapist, or thief?

Go cry on Vincente Fox's shoulder you whiny ass bitches!

Yes! I am an angry person!

More illegal immigration agitation

Click on the quote for the entire article...
US President George W Bush has signed into law a plan for 700 miles (1,125km) of new fencing along the US-Mexico border, to curb illegal immigration.

Mr Bush said the US had not been in control of the border for decades.

Illegal immigration is expected to be a major question in next month's US mid-term elections.

Mexican officials have opposed the fence, with outgoing President Vicente Fox calling it "shameful" and likening it to the Berlin Wall.

About 10 million Mexicans are thought to live in the US, some four million of them illegally.

An estimated 1.2 million illegal immigrants were arrested last year trying to cross into the US via the border states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
I think President Vicente Fox is a moron..."likening it to the Berlin Wall." He's obviously the type of Mexican the US is trying to keep out of the country - stupid, ignorant and uneducated. The Berlin Wall separated the same country. It was used to protect Nazi Germany. It's easier to protect a smaller part of a country than the ENTIRE country. It was a strategic move to maintain security and control albeit a little extreme, it worked!

The Border Wall is a separator for two DIFFERENT countries. It should also be used to protect, to maintain some form of security and to control some of the illegal activity for the states bordering Mexico. I could go on and on.

I think we should actually have a charged (electrified) fence along the border. I think a few Mexican relatives get barbecued and they may think twice about crossing into the US illegally. Those that make it without getting jolted should be applauded but we will send you back and you can try again...and again...if you continue to succeed. It's just like within our country. We are too lenient on murderers, rapists and thieves. If we cut a few arms or sexual organs off, I think we could drastically cut down on these forms of crimes.

Anyway, will the fence be completely effective? NO! Like someone said in the article, it could be traversed and when there is no waiting border patrol on the other side then the effectiveness wains. Hence, the need for the electrified fence.

I believe something needs to be done and not just because they are Mexicans. I think it's an open border for a new breed of terrorists to cross. The border patrol is not as crafty as shown in "Born in East L.A."

Oh yeah, and why the hell isn't Vincente Fox doing something on his side of the fence to keep his people from becoming criminals by illegally crossing the border? I don't hear about him trying to talk to his fellow country-people to stay in Mexico to help make it become a better thriving country. Hmmmmmmm!?

People can always point fingers except for when it's pointed at themselves.

Stick a fork in me...I'm done.

...for now

More stuff on illegal immigration in Farmers Branch, Texas

If I lived in his town, I would support this city council member 100%. It's time to walk the walk instead of talk the talk! People that disagree need to realize one thing - he's targeting ILLEGAL immigrants. Not your up-to-date green card or visa holders. And those businesses that are complaining...I guess we could liken it to aiding and abetting a criminal. Not much of a difference except probably the severity of the crimes.

An excerpt from the article: click on quote to go to the article on DallasNews.com
Mr. O'Hare has suggested that the council consider ordinances that not only penalize landlords and businesses for dealings with illegal immigrants, but also make English the city's official language and curtail spending for illegal immigrant children to participate in some youth programs.

Council member Ben Robinson suggested the city also consider prohibiting the assembly of day laborers, and authorizing police who question the validity of residency papers of immigrants encountered during traffic stops or accidents to make and submit copies of the papers and submit them to immigration officials.

The council also will discuss the federal 287(g) immigration enforcement program, which gives police departments access to databases to determine a person's identity and immigration status, and decide whether illegal immigrants who have committed crimes are eligible for deportation proceedings.

More illegal immigration

I really can't understand the logic and thinking these stupid people are using to come up with such stupid ass ideas...
From the Dallas Morning News...the hope of the League of Latin American Citizens and other Hispanic leaders, who organized a massive rally that attracted up to 500,000 people to downtown Dallas on Sunday. To continue to illustrate the power that Hispanics exert on the U.S. economy, they have asked them to skip work and keep their wallets closed on Monday.
I guess these "leaders" don't realize that these people they are asking to not work came to America for that particular reason: to WORK for a "better" life. Freaking ignorant and arrogant pricks. These leaders won't be suffering. They will still get paid but the every-day-worker won't.

Do you really think the American economy will suffer from these Hispanics not working or buying? It's like computers. The world worked without them before and it could do so again. It would take getting used to, though.

Instead, the only people they are really hurting are themselves. These Hispanics don't go to work, they don't get paid, they don't eat, they don't get to spend money on "American" things, they don't get to send money back to Mexico and they don't get their name stenciled on the back of their car (really, in the Dallas/Ft Worth area you aren't Hispanic unless you have your family name on your back window, usually stenciled in calligraphy font) because they didn't work today so they have no money. They could also lose their job for skipping out on work. The repercussions are just as bad for the protestor as it is the business or businesses.

So get a freaking clue you Hispanic leaders! Think of a better way to get your point across, ya freakin' morons!
More from the news...a clerk at a small grocery story and taqueria at the intersection of Ross Avenue and Ashby Street. Through a translator, she explained that her husband and his co-workers were staying home from their jobs at a window factory.

They both wanted to support the cause, she said, but one of them had to work. “I didn’t want to come to work this morning but we needed the money,” she said.
The above quote 1) backs up my statement of how they "need the money" and 2)shows that there needs to be something done about immigrants in general. This woman needed a TRANSLATOR! What in the hell is that? You are in America. Granted we don't have a national language but learn to speak ENGLISH! It pisses me off that American business pretty much must have dual-language signage. One in English and one in Spanish. Fucking learn ENGLISH! Do the Germans, French, British, or any other freaking countries have signs in their native language and then Spanish? Fuck no!

Oh gosh, I could go on and on about the ignorance of our country, the people running it and the people in it. The American government doesn't make concessions for Weapons of Mass Destruction even if there are none but they'll make it easier for non-English speaking Mexicans in America to vote or talk to customer service over the phone (ya know, "please press 1 for English, para en Espanol numero dos"). Again, what the fuck is up with that!?

I've gotta stop before I burst a blood vessel.

I'm done!

100.3 Jack FM and illegal immigration

Jack FM is a local radio station in Dallas, Texas that plays songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and Todays. There are no DJs although they do have recorded "interludes" between songs and/or commercial spots.

Today I heard a particularly amusing interlude...
What's with all this talk about illegal immigration? I didn't know it was such a big deal for space aliens to come to earth.
Now, that's funny.
