Just a quick note while watching the Mavs/Heat game.
I noticed this before but just now have had time to post anything.
If you have been or are watching the NBA finals, pay attention to the commercials. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but it seems to me that 9 out of 10 commercials are tailored to or contain mainly/only black people.
I was watching game three and I think all the commercials I saw were ninety percent aimed or portrayed by black people. I just saw a commercial for the Denali. No actors were shown—it had fencers so they were fully covered—but tell me how many white people watching basketball would want a Denali?
There’s a cell phone commercial too. I don’t recall which service but the announcer is calling a player’s name during introduction. However, he’s busy yapping on the phone in the locker room with his woman. There is another one, maybe the same cell phone company, and all the actors in the commercial are black.
Do you think this is intentional targeting of a certain demographic? I think so!
