I was watching late night television and saw the remake Dawn of the Dead (2004).
First of all, I can't believe it's been four years since the movie came out. It's more impressive that it's been four years than when the movie actually came out.
I didn't think this movie was very well remade. The point of the living dead is that they wanted to eat the brains of people because they were dumb-shit zombies. They were brain dead which means all motor skills (speech, walking, talking, thinking, etc) were all nonexistent. But this movie had the zombies running like wild banshees, jumping and flying through the air, climbing fences and such, shit DEAD people just can't do.
It's almost like they just re-shot the movie 28 Days Later... but put George Romero's name and movie to it.
I think at the end of 'Dawn' they are still running or something. It doesn't exactly end at the end of the movie. Ya know?!
Anyway, I just didn't think the movie was that good or true to the original.
