A quote from an article at Dallas Morning News online:
Cesar Chavez won in a straw poll. Big deal! Who says the city HAS TO name it that just because of some straw poll? Is a straw poll a recognized authority on city council decision-making? According to Wikipedia, here, it is not.
So, just stick it to the Latinos and say, "Sike!" and move on!! The city (government in general) does it all the time.
By the way, who the hell was Cesar Chavez anyway? I think the link is the right Cesar Chavez. I bet you a "straw poll" that most of the Mexicans and Latinos don't know who he is either or even really care. The ones that do are the older ones and they are just trying to make a point...what that point is, I don't know. Maybe that they can get 1 million mexicans to vote in a ridiculously ludicrous poll.
How about we call it Cesar Milan? It's got a nicer ring to it and I'm sure everyone (brown, black, white, or yellow) knows who he is.
Oh well...moving on.

Saw an article on MSN about George Michael's opinion on gay marriages. I clicked the link to the article and I thought it was amusing to see Zac Efron's pic being advertised on the page.
As the church lady says, "Isn't that special?"
If anyone cares, I think I've got the perfect compromise. The City Hall poohbahs want a name change. The Latinos want their heritage honored.I just don't understand why there was ever a public vote. I guess it goes to show how stupid the Dallas City Council is when 1) they can't come up with their own names, 2) they can't make their own decisions and 3) they can't stick to their decisions once they actually made one.
Why don't we just use the Spanish word for Industrial?
That would be Industrial.
Has a nice ring to it.

Cameron Sands, 19, of Fort Worth kicked in the door of the house and then shot himself in the stomach as he pulled a gun out of his pants to shoot the homeowner...Um...what can be said about this one...that your mudda and fadda are majorly embarrassed that the whole Dallas News reading society knows they raised a royal dip shit? I wonder if Amnesty International wants to fight self-inflicted corporal punishment.
